When I became CEO last August, I talked about my vision for turning the association “inside out,” for creating a radically member-centric organization. One key component of this vision was our new “Day in the Life” program.
The Day in the Life program, rolled out in January of this year, gives NAR staff the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with agents, brokers, or local/state association staff. By the end of this month, one-third of NAR staff members will have already completed the program — that’s more than 100 people working in the Chicago and Washington, D.C. offices.
When our staff have returned to the office they have told me how they have a greater understanding for what REALTORS® do each day, and they’ve brought back ideas on how we can provide even better service as your national association. We are collecting staff feedback, photos, and ideas in a central database so that we can continually implement member-centric ideas (big and small).
You can explore NAR staff visits and insights through an interactive map on nar.realtor. There are already nearly 200 pins of NAR staff with REALTORS® across the country. The map is powered by Relola, a member of NAR’s 2017 REach® Accelerator Class. NAR staff used the Relola app to drop real time insights and photos during their visits.
